Task Force is a tactical third-person shooter currently in development. It aims to provide competitive arcade-style gameplay without taking itself too seriously. The shooting mechanics are exaggerated to create a fun and challenging experience, yet the character movement is extremely versatile and offers a wide range of maneuvers and actions.
Game modes are round-based and mostly focus on single-life objectives involving either bombs, hostages or intel. Each map will be designed to a specific game mode but may also be setup to have different areas for different modes.
An emphasis is also placed on community tools and engagement. Servers are organized based on their regions and players have the ability to create their own custom games. There are plans for detailed stats and rankings along with the integration of league and tournament systems directly into the game.
Task Force is built using the latest technology of the Unreal Engine 4. It makes use of the new forward renderer which adds support for MSAA, improved texture streaming and more. We plan to support the Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Task Force is also in development for Xbox One.
